I'm back with another update on Magic Pages. Firstly, I want to say thanks for all the well wishes regarding my COVID-19 recovery. I'm feeling much better this week – and I am back to work πŸ™Œ

That being said, I'm a bit behind in releasing the first version of Magic Pages due to the time I had to take off. Initially, I planned to release something in the end of March/beginning of April, but well...here we are. If any of you have an acute need to set up a website, please reach out to me directly, and I'll see what I can do to help.

Over the last week, my focus has been on the email sending functionality. However, I quickly realised that this is a more significant task than I anticipated. I was spending just a few hours each day working on it, which wasn't enough. So, I've hired somebody on Upwork to help me out. It's the first time I've hired someone, and while it does eat up a large chunk of the pre-sale revenue, I'm confident that it's worth it. A small Ukrainian agency is working on this now, and they've already made some progress. I'm excited about where this will take us, and it could potentially lead to a long-term partnership that speeds up the further development of Magic Pages.

While the email sending functionality is being worked on, I've been making improvements to the infrastructure set up. I now have a second server running that handles all the boring backend stuff, making your future websites more reliable.

Right now, I'm actively working on the customer portal, which will allow you to manage your website(s) in the future. It's coming along nicely and will include a short video below to give you a sneak peek πŸ‘‡

Last, but not least, I want to thank all of you who replied to my question regarding a potential Magic Pages community last week. It's been great to hear that so many of you are keen on this idea. From forums to Discord, there were lots of suggestions regarding which platform we should use.

To get started, I'm thinking of creating a Twitter community as a quick win, since most of you are on Twitter. Then we can always move to a different platform as the need arises.

That's all for now. Thanks again for your continued support. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any thoughts or ideas.

Cheers,
Jannis
