If you've browsed the Magic Pages website in the last 2 days, you might have noticed: signing up for new trials isn't possible at the moment. I quickly want to explain the background a little bit here.
So, what happened? Nothing bad really. In fact, from a business perspective, it's probably what most business owners would love to see: Magic Pages was simply booked out.
Every server here at Magic Pages has a certain capacity, a number of Ghost CMS websites that cannot be exceeded. That way, I want to make sure that every site has the resources it needs β and quite some more for unforeseen spikes in traffic. Once that limit is reached, the backend I created does not allow any new sign-ups.
For the current server, I already saw that limit approaching, so I got a new one and started to set it up. The only "issue": way more trials poured in than on usual days. So, resources ran out quicker than I could provision new ones π
Right now, I am working on getting the new one ready, but it's taking a little longer. There are a few things I wanted to improve, mainly in regards to the data storage.
